This groundbreaking movement laid the foundation for higher-beat variants used in manyautomatic King SeikoandGrand Seiko modelsfrom the early to mid-1970s. The success of the 56 series King andGrand Seikoscan be attributed to the technical advancements of theLord Matic 5601 movement.

Available in a wide variety of dial and case configurations, the specific model we’re featuring in our vintage shop is the Lord Matic 5601-9000. It boasts a white straight brush finish dial and anicely preserved sharp case. This watch has been carefully preserved, with the original mirror polished case finishing on the case still visible. Because it features a Seiko 5601 movement, there is no date function for the watch and Its sword hand just added the simplicity design to the watch. One special thing about this watch is its history behind the watch, there is a caseback engraving of the watch that shows this history of this watch. It is a 15 years working anniversary of employee of Mitsubishi Patrol, and we know that 1975 markes the 15 anniversary of the employee. These watches are usually custom commission oder from Mitsubishi Patrol to Seiko directly making the watch extra special.
