The funkiest Cricket

This is one of the funkiest Vulcain Crickets that we have seen, with a full-blown 1970s steel case and fantastic two-piece dial. The dial is in two pieces with a vertical brushed silver finish with black enamel markings on the outer section and a black alarm hand. The alarm function was made possible by the movement utilizing two barrels one for the movement and one for the alarm.
You wind the winding crown clockwise to wind the alarm and anti-clockwise to wind the movement.

Vulcain made the the first wristwatch-housed alarm and the sound was reminiscent of the chirping of cricketshence the name! The Cricket has a nickname (like all iconic watches) The Presidents Watch. In 1953 Vulcain gifted President Harry Truman with a cricket and the tradition has continued with every American President since. The watch has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
